Simply the best! 5 Star Rating - World class

By Katherine H.
The senseis (teachers) at Amerikick are definitely world class! My four-year old son absolutely loves learning from these enthusiastic, encouraging, and supportive pros. Not only are they wonderful with every kid, every day (they make sure each child feels accepted and capable), but they also make a big effort to keep kids engaged and interested.
My son missed a few classes when his little sister was born and thought he wanted to quit karate. We spoke to Ms. Ada (another wonderful asset to the Amerikick team), who handles the business end of the program, and she made sure that all the senseis knew Jacob's story. The teachers then took the time to work with him one-on-one, which boosted his self-esteem; to pay a little extra attention during class, which made him feel valuable; and to give him high-fives when he did well, which made him know that they were paying attention. They even sent Jake a letter in the mail explaining how proud they were of his focus and dedication, and how happy they are to teach him. Now Jake is back on board and feeling excited about classes and his achievements.
This is a place where your child can really thrive, learn, and find his/her inner strength with the highest level of support from a top notch team, in a superb environment.
The facility is clean, big, colorful, bright, and parent-friendly--they have a large seating area so parents can sit and watch the entire class take place. I know that my son loves to have an audience to "perform" for, so this is a great set-up.
Your child will not only learn karate, physical development and respect for his/her own body, but will also learn to focus his/her attention; follow directions; work well with others; develop patience; take turns; and to develop and practice self-respect and respect for others. This program is invaluable for our children.

Amerikick is one of a kind! 5 Star Rating - World class

Amerikick Karate Studios is a very friendly and comfortable place for kids of all ages, as young as 3, to learn the art of karate. My kids really enjoyed their time there because the staff is very nice and considerate to rewarding each and every child for their efforts. They have a good program that motivates kids to do well in school and earn their stripes through good behavior and self discipline. My kids were very excited to earn their stripes and their belts.
The staff is also very well trained and never in my whole life have I seen the sensei so motivated and really care about teaching. They take it very serious about getting the kids to learn and most importantly they give them the reason to want to come to karate. My kids learned karate and had fun!
I would recommend the school for anyone who is looking to find the right school for their kids to learn karate. As a mother, I look for the best and if you want the best, you have found it!

Best Kept Secret in Brooklyn 5 Star Rating - World class

By Todd.
You'll hear a lot about the karate programs at Amerikick locations and they are great, but the best kept secret is Amerikick's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). The instructor is excellent - trains with some of the best BJJ practitioners in the world and competes professionally. Most important though, each student gets plenty of individual attention as everyone works to perfect specific techniques. It is a relaxed atmosphere and no matter if you are new to BJJ or working towards your black belt, you will definitely have fun.

Amerikick Summer Camp 5 Star Rating - World class

By Cindy T.
My kids have just completed their first week of summer camp ever and thankfully it was Amerikick! They had both refused summer camp last year and it was only when they heard Sensei Ricky was running this years camp that they agreed to do one week. They had a great time. The fantastic staff all ensured that the camp was enjoyable, interesting, safe and fun! I can't wait until next year.

Our son feels so welcome! 5 Star Rating - World class

He felt to privileged to have a one-on-one session with a Sensei. He's really taking to the whole idea of Karate, from working on his posture to showing respect both at Amerikick and at home. I have no background in Karate, but this does not pose a problem because the Senseis are ready to show both him and me anything we need to know, from bowing to tying the belt. Our son always looks forward to Karate days and he enjoys demonstrating the stances to his dad in the evening when we all get home. The classes are a great deal. I can see that if our son wishes to continue with the classes, he will be able to for as long as he wishes, even through adulthood! We are recommending the classes and birthday parties!
